Key Responsibilities
- 1Lead the Credit & Collections function for an assigned scope within Databricks, including credit policies, collection practices, risk mitigation, and escalation protocols
- 2Own credit assessment, risk reviews, credit limits, payment terms, credit holds/releases, and exception management within the established approval framework
- 3Make credit recommendations and decisions within delegated authority, balancing credit risk, cash conversion, and commercial considerations
- 4Personally manage collections strategy and executive-level escalations for strategic and high-value Databricks customers
- 5Lead resolution of complex disputes, contractual payment issues, and commercially sensitive collection matters
- 6Own the monthly AR performance framework, including collection targets, cash collected vs. target, CEI, ageing, write-offs, and cash forecasting
- 7Translate AR and credit trends into actionable insights for Finance leadership, including emerging risks, recovery outlook, and bad debt/reserve considerations
- 8Manage the Accenture collections engagement, including SLA/KPI governance, account allocation, quality, process adherence, escalations, and corrective actions
- 9Partner with Sales, Customer Success, RevOps, Legal, Billing, and Finance leadership to resolve high-impact credit and collection matters
- 10Identify systemic drivers of delinquency and credit exposure and lead initiatives to strengthen controls, processes, and collection effectiveness
- 11Drive process transformation and continuous improvement across Credit & Collections, leveraging automation, AI, analytics, and scalable operating models to improve efficiency and decision-making
- 12Serve as the subject-matter authority for Credit & Collections, providing guidance on complex cases, policies, credit decisions, and commercial considerations
- 13Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting is a must; CA, CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification strongly preferred
- 1412+ years of progressive experience across Credit & Collections, ideally within high-growth SaaS, technology, or complex B2B environments
- 15Proven experience in credit risk assessment, collections strategy, and managing strategic or high-value customer relationships
- 16Strong understanding of usage-based and subscription billing models, commercial contracts, and associated credit risks
- 17Demonstrated experience owning AR KPIs, collection targets, CEI, DSO, ageing, cash forecasting, write-offs, and bad debt/reserve analysis
- 18Experience operationalising credit policies, approval frameworks, and risk mitigation strategies
- 19Experience governing outsourced collections operations against defined SLAs and performance metrics
- 20Strong analytical capability with the ability to translate large datasets into clear financial and risk insights
- 21Advanced Excel and strong ERP/reporting systems experience; SAP, NetSuite and Salesforce preferred
- 22Demonstrated experience driving process transformation, automation, or technology-enabled improvements; practical application of AI in finance or AR operations is a plus
- 23Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage confidently with customers and senior cross-functional stakeholders
- 24This role will require working in PST hours.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting is a must; CA, CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification strongly preferred
