About This RoleAI processing…

Gasfin is where engineering meets impact. Since 2009, we’ve been building and managing world-class LNG infrastructure projects across the globe—from the drawing board to real-world delivery. Our clients include governments, energy companies, and infrastructure operators, all working toward the same goal: secure, stable, and sustainable energy. In 2023, we became the lead consultant and in 2025 also the On-Site Operations Manager for Deutsche Energy Terminal GmbH (DET)—Germany’s state-owned terminal operator, created to respond to the national energy supply challenges triggered by the Ukraine crisis. We believe energy should be reliable, affordable, and future-ready. That’s why we view LNG as a powerful transition fuel on the path to greener energy systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • 1
Supporting the Terminal Manager in the safe, reliable and efficient operation of the LNG terminal
  • 2
Planning and implementing the integrated operation and maintenance plan for the terminal
  • 3
Coordinating daily work processes at the terminal (including permit-to-work, maintenance and external services)
  • 4
Acting as an interface for internal departments and operational partners
  • 5
Ensuring compliance with all safety, emergency and environmental requirements as well as legal regulations
  • 6
Conducting audits, inspections and safety inspections and assisting in the investigation of incidents
  • 7
Representing the Terminal Manager during his/her absence
  • 8
Preparation of reports and technical document management

Requirements

  • Degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, electrical engineering or similar
  • At least 3 years of experience in terminal operations or 5 years in the chemical/energy-related process industry
  • In-depth knowledge of process safety – ideally in the field of LNG or natural gas
  • Experience with safety and quality management systems (e.g. ISO, IMO, SIGTTO)
  • Knowledge of project management is an advantage
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Confident use of MS Office
  • Very good written and spoken German and English

Perks & Benefits

The opportunity to play an active role in shaping the operation of a pioneering LNG terminal
Responsible tasks in a technically demanding environment
A dedicated team with open communication and flat hierarchies
Competitive compensation and long-term development opportunities
