Key Responsibilities

As Director of Engineering, you will own the technical strategy, design, delivery, and operation of Roblox's storage systems.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
10+ years of experience in storage, infrastructure, or distributed systems roles, including hands-on experience building and operating custom database systems - not just deploying off-the-shelf solutions - plus depth in at least several of: caching systems, object storage, message queues, or data streaming
A track record of building reliable, high-availability systems at significant scale (millions of users, petabyte-scale data, or equivalent)
